Role Summary
The Finance & Administration Manager will be instrumental in setting up the financial and administrative backbone of the new campus. This includes establishing financial systems, administrative support structures, and the human resource function in alignment with TEG People & Culture frameworks. Especially during the setup phase, it would be critical to manage the budgets, assist in recruiting other key staff, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Expectations
Financial Management
- •Oversight of Financial Operations. Establish and manage all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with Malaysian financial regulations and accounting standards and TEG’s policies and practices.
- •Accurate Reporting. Prepare and present monthly financial statements and reports to the leadership team and TEG’s Treasury & Finance.
- •Budget Preparation and Monitoring. Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the school Principal and TEG management.
- •Accounts Receivable Ageing. Regular review of the ageing report to ensure timely follow up on long overdue accounts.
- •Internal Controls. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the school’s assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
- •Cash Flow. Manage cash flow, including forecasting and monitoring to maintain financial stability.
- •Team Leadership. Mentor and guide the team, fostering a culture of customer-centric excellence and good governance.
Human Resources
- •Recruitment. In collaboration with Head of Talent of Myriad Education, coordinate and administer recruitment activities in alignment with Group People & Culture policies.
- •Prepare and process monthly payroll for all campus employees, including statutory contributions and compliance.
- •Maintain accurate and confidential HR and payroll records, including employee files, leave data, and contract documentation.
- •Ensure campus-level compliance with applicable Malaysian employment laws and regulations.
- •Ensure adherence to TEG’s People & Culture and Myriad Education reporting requirements.
